My brother says they work quite well, and skips everything in between the BX and a complete Kidd Drop-in Group. The Ruger BX Trigger Group ($80) is Ruger’s own answer to to the crappy standard 1022 trigger.

HP Action Kit Plus features all of this and adds our Extended Magazine Release and Auto Bolt Release for $153. Reduces trigger pull down to approximately 2.25 – 2.5lbs. The HP Action Kit will give the shooter one of the most crisp, clean trigger pulls available. Also included is a recoil buffer to reduce wear on the action and bolt. The Volquartsen kit ($131) consists a Volquartsen target hammer (includes shims and bushings), hammer spring, target disconnector, target sear and target trigger Includes polished plunger and spring) with overtravel adjustment.

Easy to install and it gives you a great trigger with about a 2.5 lbs pull. I have a KIDD “Trigger Job” Kit with Hammer, Sear, Disconnect, and Trigger blade ($105) in one of my 1022’s and it is great. Rechambering and bolt machining available for Ruger 1022 and 77/22 also available. ◦Oversize receiver pins installed to tighten trigger group ◦Single stage pull reworked to be as crisp as possible TRIGGER JOB ($90) 2.0 – 2.4 lb trigger pull He specializes in 1022 rechambering, trigger jobs and bolt work. Tier 1 ($110) gets you all the above, adjustable sear and everything polished and hand fitted.Ĭonnecticut Precision Chambering is the most recommended gunsmith for the 1022 on. The hole for the original trigger return spring is then drilled out, tapped, and an overtravel stop is installed in that hole. This torsion spring system has no moving or sliding parts (unlike the factory plunger) which allows them to get the take up and the reset silky smooth. If you want more of a competition trigger, the Tier 2($78.50) gives you all the above, a machined CNC trigger, and allow the instillation of an internal, torsion-type, trigger return spring mounted on the trigger itself. The most important thing is that Brimstone re-works every part of the trigger in some way, which improves every aspect of the trigger motion.

This is not a full tilt competition trigger, but this trigger will feel better than the new Ruger BX triggers that cost $90. Anyway, it's a pretty simple test to see what your gun will do with them. The Tier 3 Trigger Job ($38.50) – An entry level value to have your trigger group improved. I only recently tried some SPP in the same loads and so far, no difference in POI with the change in this gun with the same loads only changing primers. I've been using SRP for several years now.since the primer "shortage" struck for about the third time a couple of years ago.

You'd need to try a couple primed cases in your gun to see if they'll work or not. They all work in my gun and the springs have been lightened. Apples to oranges in a sense! Not completely true. You can't use your experiences with 357s to extrapolate onto the 327 guns. I've learned to stage my shots with both the SP101 and GP100 with a heavy trigger and it works for me. Please please keep in mind the 327 Federal uses small rifle primers that take a harder blow than small pistol primers! You will never get a 327 gun to go as lite as a 357/38 gun with factory ammo because of this.
